Richard "Dickie" P. Reed, 81, of Olive Branch, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015. He was born in Memphis to the late Charles and Adelaide Reed. Mr. Reed was retired from Daimler Chrysler Corporation. As a U.S. Navy Veteran, he served in the Korean War and was a lifetime member of UAW. He is survived by his wife Arnita Reed; his son, LCDR Randall P. Reed (Kim) and daughter Janet C. Samples (Tommy); 5 grandchildren: Brian and Blake Samples, Nolan, Adelaide and Sadie Kay Reed; also a brother, Michael Reed (Diane) from Longbeach, MS and sister, Felicia Jefferson of Memphis. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 2 at Forest Hill South. Funeral Mass will be 12 noon Tuesday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church 8455 Germantown, Rd. Olive Branch. Burial will follow in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
