Southaven-Richard Donald Eckert, 63, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Tippah County Hospital of Ripley, MS. Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 18 at Forest Hill South in Memphis with visitation Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. Mr. Eckert retired after 30 years from the Memphis Veterans Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, George H. and Sara Louise Eckert. He leaves two brothers: Robert Dennis Eckert (Virginia), his twin, and Frank Carter Eckert (Cynthia), three nephews, two great-nieces, four great-nephews and many other beloved family and friends.
