Richard James, Sr., 75, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Baptist Desoto. He was a man of honor, integrity and kindness. Mr. James retired from the Memphis Fire Department, Station 40, after 30 years of service and also served our country in the U.S. Army. Mr. James was preceded in death by his Dallin'' Joann James and is survived by his son, Richard James, Jr.; grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathan and Shelby James all of Nesbit, MS, and two brothers, Frank and Johnny James. He also leaves behind Misty, Reese, Ozzy and D''Jango, all of which kept him busy. His smile and kindness will be greatly missed by many. We''ll see you upstairs Big Papa. Visitation will be 12-2 p.m., Saturday, November 1, 2014 with services to follow at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill South Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
