Olive Branch - Richard Dudley Looney, 72, passed away on August 10, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. and Winifred Looney and brother in-law, Walker B. Hill. Richard is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ellen Looney; a brother, Charles Winston Jr. (Maria); sisters-in-law, Martha Hill and Zenda Faust (Charles); a brother-in-law, Maurice Bryant (Faye); and five nephews and one niece. He was a U.S. Marine veteran. During his career he worked 13 years in maintenance at Hutchinson Girl''s School and he retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company after working there for 20 years. Richard was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church in Lewisburg, MS. Visitation will be Monday, August 13, at Forest Hill South from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the service immediately following at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, South. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to: New Prospect Baptist Church Building Fund, 310 Hwy 305 N., Olive Branch, MS, 38654.
