Rev. Richard M. Panis was born February 18, 1927 in Imus, Cavite Philippines. He was 91 years of age when he went home to be with the Lord.  His loving wife Marie preceded him in death just six weeks ago, leaving him broken hearted and longing to be with her again. They would have celebrated 70 years of marriage on October 9, but God had other plans.

He leaves behind three children: Edward G. Panis, Belinda Thompson and Reverend Richard A. Panis, Pastor of Trafalgar Village Baptist Church. He has seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He served as Pastor of Range Hills Baptist Church for over 20 years and has served in many churches across the Mid-south. He and his wife started a church in the Philippines 33 years ago and it's still thriving. He proudly served the U.S. Navy from 1946-1950. Richard loved his family, others and more importantly, he loved the Lord.  Few men have made such a lasting impact on the lives of so many.

The family will receive family and friends for a visitation on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m., both at Trafalgar Village Baptist Church, located at 6161 Summer Avenue in Memphis.  Burial to follow at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park - East 2440 Whitten Rd.
