Obituary

ROBBIE "Bobbie" HENLEY CHERRY. On Wednesday, April 2, 2014, Bobbie Cherry passed into eternal life. Bobbie was born in Grenada, Mississippi in 1925 and moved to Memphis in 1945. She was married for thirty-nine years to Zane Paul Cherry, who preceded her in death in 1985. Before moving to Memphis, Bobbie worked as a welder at Ingalls Shipyard as a patriot in the World War II effort. She was employed by South Central Bell in Memphis before she became a loving mother and homemaker. Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Barbara Jean Cherry of Memphis, TN; and her sister, Barbara Jewel Miller of Hernando, MS. She also leaves many loving friends and her church family at Berclair Church of Christ. The support of these friends during her illness is greatly appreciated. Visitation will be Sunday, April 6 from 2-4 p.m. Services will be Monday, April 7 at 2 p.m., all at Forest Hill Funeral Home East (901)382-1000
