Robbie S. Rudder, age 83, of Memphis, passed away at the Tennessee State Veteran''s Home in Humboldt on August 27, 2012 due to complications of Lewy Body Disease. Robbie grew up in Ripley, Tennessee. He retired from McCormick Spice Company after 35 years in sales. He was proud to be a U.S Army Veteran serving during the Korean conflict. We will always remember Robbie''s legacy as one who loved his church, sports, hunting, fishing and gardening. He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Rudder; son, Dan J. Rudder of Memphis; grandchildren, Kelsey Rudder and Blake Rudder of Orlando, FL, and was devoted to his wonderful nieces and nephews and their children. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home, 2440 Whitten Road. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2012 at Bartlett United Methodist Church with the interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family wishes to extend its gratitude to the staff of the Tennessee State Veteran''s Home in Humboldt for their expertise and loving care of Robbie over the last 4 ½ years of his life.
