Robert E. Amy, Jr., 76, passed away on April 23, 2016. He was born January 1940 in Opelousas, LA. He was a graduate of LSU in Business, received his MBA from the University of Dallas and was a Captain in the US Air Force. Mr. Amy worked for the US Postal Service as a Financial Analyst for over 30 years and was a longtime member of Germantown Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Edith Faye; son, Robert E. Amy, III of Eads, TN; daughter, Sandra Amy Franks of Winter Park, FL; daughter in law, Stephanie Halford Amy; son in law, William Colby Franks; four grandchildren, Parker Franks, Paige Franks, Annabelle Amy, Austin Amy; four brothers, Douglas Amy, of Opelousas, LA, Wayne Amy of Atlanta, GA, Kyle Amy of Opelousas, LA, Alan Amy of Lafayette, LA; and his sister, Kathy Amy of Shreveport, LA. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 26 until service begins at 3 p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, East. Interment will be in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, April 28 at 10 a.m.
