Robert "Bob" Gruner, 81, passed away on December 1, 2016. He retired from Western Union, and was a Ham radio operator whose call letters were "W4UFT". Mr. Gruner is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carolyn Gruner; a half brother, Charles Davis and his wife, Nita; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Mother and Daddy, Mary and Wenzel Gruner; two sisters, Helen McCuddy, Nancy Urvan; and a brother, Walter Gruner. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, December 5 and service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 6 at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, East with interment following. The family would like to thank St. Francis Hospital - Bartlett ICU Staff for the wonderful care they received during Mr. Gruner''s illness.
