Robert Lewis Clement (Bobby) died peacefully on February 15, 2018 in Germantown, TN. at the age of 76. Robert is survived by his sisters Patricia Jones (David) of Friendswood, Texas and Dale Woodard (Tucker) of Henning, TN., his daughter Susan Gayle Powell (James) of Millington, TN., his grandchildren, John Gregory Byrd Jr. (Monica) of Drummonds, TN. and Nikki LeAnne Cunningham (Clay) of Huntingdon, TN., and his great grandchildren, Noah Gregory Byrd, Aubryn Nicole Byrd, and Grant Martin Byrd of Drummonds, TN. and Marilyn Ann Cunningham and Lincoln Wren Cunningham of Huntingdon, TN. He is reunited with his father Morris H. Clement and mother Ruth Crihfield Clement both of Ripley, TN., his wife of 57 years Margaret Ann Clement (Sowell) of Memphis, TN., and beloved son Stephen Martin Clement of West Helena, AR.
Robert was born on August 2, 1941 in Memphis, TN. He attended Byars Hall High School in Covington, TN. He married Margaret Ann Sowell, his high school sweetheart, in 1960. Over seven years, the couple welcomed two children into their home.
Robert was a selfless and benevolent individual who was committed to family and who attended the Ripley Church of Christ in Ripley, TN. . A visitation is scheduled for February 22, 2018 from 12:00am - 2:00pm at Ripley Church of Christ in Ripley, TN., with the funeral to follow. William Coates will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Robert's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
