Robert R. Cooley, of Fairfield Glade, TN passed away on November 27, 2024.
The native Memphian was known to his friends and family as Bob. He served in the Navy and played the trumpet in the Navy band. Bob retired from MLG&W after working for 30 years as a lineman. After retirement, he worked at Macy's and became a people person. He enjoyed photography and building model ships. This gentle soul carried a twinkle in his eye and a soothing smile that would draw people near. Bob loved to tell jokes and had a great sense of humor. He loved to go on camping trips. He and Jean even stayed in the camper while their home was being built in Fairfield Glade. Bob loved his children, grands, great grands, dogs, and especially his beloved wife, Jean.
Robert was preceded in passing by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Jean C. Cooley; three daughters, Lisa (Susan) Cooley, Michelle Cooley, Tina Rushing; three grandchildren, Jessica (Joey) Vaughn, Rachel (Steven) Sziklai, Anna (Raymond) Flynn; five great grandchildren, Vivian Vaughn, Landon Vaughn, McKinley Vaughn, Natalie (Adam) Snow, Brayden Flynn and one brother, Craig Cooley.
