Robert Lee (Bob) Henderson, youngest of nine children born to John Locke Henderson and Maude Louise Rumley Henderson, passed away in Cox Hospital in Springfield, MO, at 6:20pm on Monday, March 28, 2022.

Bob was born in Memphis, TN, on April 11, 1929.  He was preceded in death by both of his parents, all eight of his siblings, his wife Betty Jean Calamis Henderson, and their daughter Janet Sue Henderson.  He is survived by son Ronald Lee Henderson of Proctor, AR; daughter Rebecca Ann Barnes of Olive Branch, MS; grandsons Jason and Chris; great grandsons Will, C.J., Austin, and Ethan; and wife Martha Louise Murphy Henderson of Springfield, MO.

Bob's oldest brother Jack started a printing business in a shed in the backyard of his family's home.  Through the years, many family members helped as needed.  Bob made it his life's career.  Henderson Printing Company remained in business for fifty years.

Bob was known for his love of God and his family.  He taught Sunday School at Ridgeway Assembly of God for many years.

Since moving to Springfield, MO, in 2003, he had been an active volunteer with prison ministries.  He often conducted and spoke at chapel services for inmates at Greene County Jail.  He also volunteered at the Prison Ministries Department of Global University for over ten years, only stepping away from it when his health would no longer permit him to participate.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 4, 2022 from 1:00p.m.-2:00p.m. at Forest Hill East Funeral Home 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, TN 38133. Graveside services will follow at 2:30p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38120.
