Bob was born 10/1/1930 in Memphis to William Henry Hugo and Marion Collins Hugo. He started school at St. Theresa "Little Flower" Church School on Jackson Avenue when he was 4 years old, walking to school with his older sister, Rosemary Hugo. He continued in the Catholic school system and graduated from Christian Brothers (CBC).
After graduation, Bob joined the Air Force, completing Basic Training in Lackland, Texas and received Honorary Discharge in 1952.
After his military service, he married the love of his life, Frances "Louise" Wenzler. Together they raised 5 children. He was always proud to announce his 73 years of marriage and recall the birth dates of all his children.
He started Hugo Plumbing in June of 1964, which continues today. While raising his children in St James School/Church he was active in coaching, Boy Scouts and mentoring to so many. As they grew up Bob stayed close and even played adult league softball into his mid-sixties as a left handed "Southpaw" pitcher. You could always find him supporting his family in all their endeavors.
Known by many nicknames - "The Ace" was always loved, admired and respected. He is truly missed and will remain in our hearts forever as a wonderful loving Christian father.
He was preceded in death by his son, William T. "Bill"; his mother and father: William and Marion Hugo; siblings William "Bill, John Henry "Jack", Thomas, Rosemary, and Patricia Hugo Trotter.
He is survived by his wife "Frances Louise", and children Robert "Robbie" (Sallie), Shirley Marcum, Richard (Lynne), Barbara (Brian Strickland) along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
