Robert Newton, 81, of Horn Lake, MS passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, DeSoto. Mr. Newton was a U. S. Army Veteran and a member of Hinds Chapel Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Lavonne Newton, Lawrence Newton and Harrison Newton. Robert leaves his wife of 53 years, Hilma Newton; one daughter, Kimberly Cook (Rickey) of Horn Lake, MS; two brothers: Billy Lloyd Newton (Margie) of Gunnison, MS and Mickey Newton of Texas, and one grandson, David Ryan Cook (Danielle) of Hernando, MS. Visitation will be Thursday, July 20 from 5 to 7 pm. Service will be Friday, July 21 at 10 am at Forest Hill South. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
