Obituary

Rob Edward Nusbaum Hargrove was born on August 19, 1991 and he went to Heaven to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 26, 2015. His parents Jason and Robin, brothers Jacob, Stephen, and Nathan, girlfriend Paige Ramos, and his extended family and friends will dearly miss him.

He was a graduate of Bartlett High School and he attended the University of Memphis and Southwest Tennessee Community College. He was a kind soul with a veracious love of reading and a constant quest for knowledge. He enjoyed painting Warhammer figures, performing stand-up comedy, computer coding, and playing the electric and acoustic guitar. He loved to jam on the guitar with his brother Jacob.

Robby professed his faith in Jesus Christ at the age of 8. Pastor Ken Graham confirmed his commitment. He was baptized on September 12, 1999. In his youth he was a bold witness for Christ. He shared his faith openly on a performance jump rope team called the Spirit Steppers. More recently he shared his faith openly with friends in need and even gave a friend a copy of The Message New Testament Bible, saying that this was a good book that his friend should read.

As a youth he played basketball, t-ball, baseball, flag football and karate. He took percussion lessons and was self-taught on the acoustic and electric guitars. He loved riding bikes and was always active. In junior high he was on the track team and played percussion in the band at Bloomington Junior High School. In high school he played percussion for the Bartlett High School marching band and winter line. He took three years of German and was a member of multiple clubs. He took dual enrollment English and multiple AP classes earning many college credits while still in high school.

He loved watching sports and attended many professional sports games with his family including Comerica Park in Detroit, Comiskey Park in Chicago, Busch Stadium in St. Louis and of course the Fed Ex Forum to watch the Memphis Grizzlies. He also loved rooting for Cleveland Indians baseball. He never gave up on the Cleveland Indians. He loved watching the Utah Jazz back in the days of Karl Malone and John Stockton. Robby was a huge fan of the Memphis Grizzlies along with his family. Go Grizz!

Robby loved to ride roller coasters and go to theme parks. He loved to go on vacation. Some of his favorite places were Gulf Shores, Disney World, St. Louis, and Washington D.C. He enjoyed tent camping with his family while living in Illinois. He loved to go to secret fishing spots and fishing rodeos with his Dad in Illinois. He loved to go to the zoo and photograph the animals.

He was the most intelligent person his parents had ever known. He could debate on a high level about any topic. He was an amazing, interesting, talented, brilliant, and very passionate person. We love you Robby!
