Robert Earl Simms, 63, joined his father Earl L. Simms in Heaven on October 3, 2012. Having overcome many physical challenges, he graduated from Treadwell High School and was a U.S. Postal Service Employee. Bobby is survived by his mother, LaVerne M. Simms, and his children, David, Daniel, Dennis, Douglas, and Kristine. He also leaves behind his sisters, Barbara Simms Caesar (Pat) and Suzanne Simms Schmidt (John); brothers, Steve (Trish), Paul (Janet), Phil (Gail), Alan (Roger), and many friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard (Marilyn). A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 6, at Kings Daughters and Sons Home. The family requests any memorials be sent to King''s Daughters and Sons Home and Heritage Baptist Church.
