Robert E. "Bobby" Threlkeld, 79, passed from life into death Wednesday, April 4, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents William Bertram and Katherine Carpenter Threlkeld, his sister Elizabeth, his brother William Bertram Threlkeld and former wife Linda Matthews Threlkeld.  He leaves behind his wife of 24 years Beverly Threlkeld, son Robert E. Threlkeld II, stepson George Roser (Elaine), stepdaughter Susan Roser, four grandsons Dustin Barnes, Andrew Roser, Mason and Braden Threlkeld, two great-grandchildren Benjamin and Adalynn Barnes, brother James F. Threlkeld (Nancy), sisters-in-law- Dot Threlkeld and Patty Matthews Nicholson, four nephews Jeff, Brian, Steven (Sarah), and Derrick Threlkeld, 2 nieces Cheri Dishman (Allen) and Robin Johnson (Steve), great nephews and nieces and cousins. Bobby loved his Lord, his family, his church and his country serving in the Navy and retiring from the Corps of Engineers, Memphis and volunteering for the Care Pregnancy Resource center in Southaven. He was gentle, kind, loving and loved, protective dependable and honest. We will miss you very much. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Threlkeld be sent to Care Center, 1277 Main Street, Southaven, MS 38671, Funeral Services held at Carriage Hills Baptist Church, 8352 Farmington Dr. W., Southaven, MS 38671 on Saturday, April 7, with visitation starting at 12:00 PM, and services at 1:00 PM, and internment to follow at Forest Hill South Mausoleum.
