Roberta S. Andrews, 91, of Hernando, MS, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Methodist Residence Hospice in Memphis. Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 26 at Forest Hill South with visitation from 12 to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. Mrs. Andrews was a member of Eudora United Methodist Church. She was a 1944 graduate of UT School of Nursing. During her career she worked with the Polio Foundation for several years and the Red Cross during the Korean War. She worked for Campbell Clinic from 1957 to 1967 and she retired from Baptist Memorial Hospital as Orthopedic Nursing Supervisor. Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, Bernice Scott Andrews; four siblings, Ruth Wadkins, Ray Simmons, Thomas Simmons and Mary Elizabeth Coleman. She leaves three children: Sherryl, Scott and Steve Andrews; her best friend for over 50 years, Dobby Gammon; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
