Rose Mary (Gilbert) Rivalto born March 15, 1937 in Kosciusko, Mississippi to Louis and Beatrice Gilbert, passed away on September 18, 2017 at the age of 80. Mrs. Rivalto was raised in Clarksdale, Mississippi and later moved to Memphis, Tennessee where she spent most of her adult life. She retired from General Electric Lamp Plant on Riverside Drive in Memphis, Tennessee. Mrs. Rivalto was a most amazing, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was always doing for others first. She was a member of Way Point Baptist Church in Bartlett, Tennessee and a former member of Rose Hill Baptist Church in Raleigh (Memphis), Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Scott Gilbert and mom Beatrice Brown Gilbert. Her brother Louis Scott Gilbert Jr. and her son Michael DeWayne Mooneyhan Sr. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Cecil H Rivalto, daughters Michelle Inman (husband Clayton) and Deborah Thompson ( husband Lynn); her grandchildren Clayton "Scott" Inman (wife Kasey), Jordan Inman Andrew (Husband Joey), Sheila Mooneyhan, Michael Dewayne Mooneyhan Jr., Chasity Thompson, Blake Thompson (wife Miranda, and her precious great grand children Ethan Thompson, Kendal Thompson, Lyndsey Thompson, Embry Inman, Bo Inman, Tristan Andrews, and Adaline Andrews, and Sharon Galloway, a very faithful friend, who helped as a care taker along side Rose Mary's husband.
The family will receive friends on Monday September 25, 2017 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home at 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, Tennessee from 9:00 am till 10:00 am. The funeral will be at 10:00am and a brief graveside service will follow.
