Rose H. Vernon, 88, passed away in Memphis, TN on January 3, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Vernon.  Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Donna Christie (Bond) of Collierville, TN and Wanda Dingler of Austin, TX; son, Mike Vernon (Lynda) of Olive Branch, MS; and one sister, Annie Mae Pierce of Memphis.  Mrs. Vernon was blessed with nine grandchildren:  Joseph K. Dingler, Zackary Fulkersin, Andrew Christie, Michael Christie, Elizabeth Vernon, Bond Christie, Cruiz Christie, Lynlee Christie, Everhett Christie, and Hughes Christie.  Visitation with her family will be Monday, January 7, 2019 from 6:00-7:00 p.m., with her funeral service following at 7:00 p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East on Whitten Road.  (901-382-1000)  In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorial donations in her honor be sent to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
