Obituary

Rosemary Haag, 85, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Feb. 12, 2019.  She was born in Atchison, Kansas.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Paul Haag, and her youngest son, Stephen. Rosemary dedicated her life to helping others, and for 30 years was the volunteer coordinator for the St. Vincent de Paul Food Mission in Memphis.  The Food Mission serves more than 150 people every day, 365 days a year, and also helps provide clothing and other necessities as needed. She loved being outside, enjoying sunny days, tending to her plants, flowers and feeding the birds.  Her home of 50 years was marked by a sunflower mailbox. But above all, Rosemary loved her family. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.  She is the much-loved mother of daughters, Kathy Ruiz and Liz Dias; son, Chris Haag; sons-in-law, Dave Roberts and Blaise Dias; and daughter-in-law Jennifer Haag.  She will be missed by her five grandchildren:  Jeremy, Jose, Aly, Calissa and Stephen. Please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday afternoon, February 16, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park - East at 2440 Whitten Road in Memphis.  Mass will be in the Chapel of St. Ann Catholic Church at 6529 Stage Road in Bartlett on Monday, February 18, at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations may be made to the Society of St Vincent Paul; 1306 Monroe; Memphis, TN 38104.
