Rosie Lee Cook, 90, of Horn Lake, Mississippi, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at her home.  She preceded in death by her parents, Anderson and Bessie Woods, her loving husband of 57 years, Edward Paul Cook,Sr., her son, Larry Dean Cook and four grandchildren.  Rosie Cook leaves behind four children, Edward Paul Cook, Jr.,(Tuyet) of Memphis, TN; Paula Hartman (Frank) of Southaven, MS; James "Sonny" H. Cook (Wanda) of San Antonio, TX and Rose "Elaine" Emary of Hernando, MS.  Rosie was affectionately called "Mamaw" by 23 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren.  Rosie was born may 31, 1931 and the oldest of 16 children.  She retired from American Electric in the early 90's and then worked babysitting her grandchildren in her home.  She enjoyed cooking for her family and was known for her incredible skills in the kitchen and her sassy spirit which she kept until the very end.  One of the family's favorite dishes she cooked was her spaghetti.  She loved to put on family get togethers and just spend time with her family that she ws so proud of.  Services will be held Thursday, September 23rd at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park-Midtown on Elvis Presley.  Viewing will be at noon, with services at 2.  Graveside services at Forest Hill Cemetery South on Holmes Road.

"Mamaws Spaghetti"

1 box of Kraft Spaghetti Classics " Tangy Italian"

1 pound of ground beef

1 bay leaf

1 can tomato paste, plus 1 can water

1/3 cup ketchup

2 table spoons brown sugar

Brown ground beef, add "Tangy Italian" seasoning, bay leaf, ketchup, tomato paste, water and brown sugar.  Let simmer while noodles are boiling. Drain noodles and mix with sauce.
