Royce Myrtle Sandefur South, 84, of Williford, Arkansas passed away at Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. She was surrounded by family and friends. Royce was born on February 12, 1933 in Jonesboro, AR to Carl Sandefur and Myrtle Gray Sandefur. She married the love of her life, Leroy South on April 30, 1952. She graduated from Valley View Class of 1951. Her classmates remained some of her closest friends. She loved her family and friends. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her "little darlings". She leaves her husband of 64 years, Leroy South; her daughter, Kayla MacIntyre of Memphis, TN; son Keith South of Nashville, TN; sisters: Wanda Cooper of Conway, AR, Lou Cook of Jonesboro, AR; grandchildren: Alicia Harvey (Jay) of Memphis,TN and Eric MacIntyre (Jana) of Bartlett, TN ; four great-grandchildren: Trace, Nolan, Eva and Emma. A graveside service for the family will be held at Forest Hill South in Memphis, TN. A memorial service will be held at New Song Baptist Church in Williford, AR on Saturday March 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. All are Welcome. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials are sent to: St. Jude Children''s Hospital or Gideons.
