Ruby Velma Johnson was born October the 1st 1937 to Mr. Willie James Wade, and Mrs. Addie Lou Wade in Covington, TN. She attended Manassas High School. on March the 9th, 1962, Ruby was united in Holy Matrimony to Leon Johnson, with whom she enjoyed a 52-year marriage. She was a homemaker and a saleswoman until her retirement. Mrs. Johnson gave her life to Christ at early age and was a member of Middle Baptist Church. on Thursday, August the 19th, 2021 Mrs. Johnson made a peaceful transition to heaven surrounded by her daughter and granddaughters. She leaves behind a devoted daughter, Courtney Johnson, two loving and granddaughters Madison Blue, and Brittany Bacchus, one brother, Carl Wade, and three sisters Debra Curry, Bernice Chapman, and Stephanie Nunn. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Johnson, two brothers, Ruben Wade, and George Wade, and two sisters, Betty Jean, Wade and Henrietta Wade. Mrs. Johnson was a gregarious soul who charmed everyone she met. She will be remembered for her tenacity, her smile and love for making friends.
