Ruby M. "Jorj" Abernathy 84, of Germantown went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Mrs. Abernathy retired from John Deere Company after 34 years. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Raymond Glenn AbernathyÍ nieces, Anne Burton of Bartlett, Ruth Carson (John) of Jackson, TNÍ nephews, James Lincoln and Walter Hooker (Charlotte) of Germantown, her great niece, Kelsey Burton of Bartlett, TNÍ great nephews, Buckley Parker of Jackson, TN and Paul Burton (Katherine) of Chicago, IL. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert FlinnÍ her mother, Ruth BrysonÍ two sisters, Ruth Hooker and Roberta Oldfather. The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to: Covenant Baptist Church, building fund in Collierville, TN or to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital. Visitation will Saturday, July 18 from 9 to 10 a.m. with service immediately following at 10 a.m. all at Forest Hill Funeral Home East location on Whitten Road.
