Our beloved Ruby Nichols Wilson was born February 2, 1922 to the late Chester Nichols, Sr, and Ida Oliver Nicols in Hernando, Mississippi. She was the only girl of four children, brothers Chester, A.C. and Robert preceded her in death.
Ruby accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Pleasant Grove CME Church. She also received her formal education at Pleasant Grove CME Church School.
After moving to Memphis, Ruby worked for many years at Imperial Manufacturing Company. She later united with Progressive Missionary Baptist Church and was an active member until her health failed.
Having led a full life, Ruby leaves to cherish her memories: one sister-in-law, Ollie Nichols; two cousins, Algeen Porter and Vesie Easter; nieces, Pearlie White (Clarence), Alma Anderson (Eddie), Ruby S. Brown, Annie Allen, Josephine Blair, Ida Westbrook, Beatrice Nichols, Dorothy Nichols, Bernice Nichols, and Rosa White; nephews, Clarence Nichols (Minnie), A.J. Nichols (Henrietta), Earl Smith, Roy White, Richey Harrold, Albert Harrold (Shirley), Allen Harrold (Angela), and a host of great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends
