Ruth Dickey Christmas, of Olive Branch, MS passed away on October 23, 2026. She was born on January 25, 1941, in Lawrenceburg, TN to Ollie and Ora Dickey who preceded her in death. 

Mrs. Christmas married, raised her family and worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Memphis, TN from which she retired. She loved and cherished her family, especially her five grandchildren. She loved teaching preschoolers each Sunday morning at Oakhaven United Methodist Church in Memphis. 

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, James A. Christmas, two brothers Hollice Dickey and Revis Dickey. 

Left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughters, Cyndi Ratliff (Ricky), Sherry Creed (Kenny) and Barbie Barnes (Mark). She was blessed with five grandchildren, Ashley Wilkerson (Eric), Lindsey Alexander (Cale), Emily Wooley (Jake), Casey Mann (Michael) and Ian Barnes, two great grandchildren, Trace Wilkerson and Nash Alexander and one sister, Mary Nell Holland. 

Visitation is planned for Thursday, October 29, 2026 from 1:00-2:00 PM with funeral services following at 2:00 PM at Forest Hill Funeral Home East at 2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN 38133, 901-382-1000.
