Ruth Lois Gilpin, 88, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, August 15, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Curtis Hill Gilpin and her parents, Angelo and Lillie Kimble Smith. Ruth was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family deeply, as she did her constant companion-dog, Piggy. Ruth gave selflessly her entire life to those she loved and knew, living her life for Christ in everything she did. She is survived by her only child, daughter Donna Gilpin; grandchildren: Jo-Shannon Hartnett, Eli Hartnett, Parker Bullock, Will Locastro, Weston Locastro, and Wyatt Locastro. Ruth''s great-grandsons will serve as her pallbearers.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 18 at 11:00 am at Faith Baptist Church, 563 Hwy 7 N, Oxford, MS.
