Horn Lake - Ruth Elaine Hendrix, 96, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2015 at Landmark of DeSoto. Service will be 10 a.m. Friday, February 6 at Forest Hill South with visitation Thursday, from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. Mrs. Hendrix is a member of Horn Lake Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Asa Hendrix; her daughter, Yvonne Riecke; her 2 sons, Gary Hendrix, Richard Hendrix; one granddaughter, Crystal Hendrix; two brothers, Carlos and Vernon Stephens. She leaves three daughters, Annette Peeples of Vicksburg, MS, Grace White of Water Valley, and W. Jean Williams White; and son Ronald Hendrix of Memphis; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
