Emma Ruth Lovelace 95 of Nesbit, MS passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025. Ruth was born in McComb, MS on April 17, 1930.

She is survived by daughters Linda L Mansell of Nesbit, MS and Karen L. Brumbelow (Gary) of Foley AL, who are left to cherish her memories of many happy times spent together, along with her grandchildren, Gary J Brumbelow of Foley AL, Christy Mansell of Nesbit, MS and Matt Mansell (Stacy) of Hernando, MS and great grandchildren Ethan Mansell, Cooper Mansell, Mazie Joy Mansell and Myla Mansell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews who were very special to her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Joe E Lovelace, her parents George Houston and Mildred Douglas, her brother George Houston Douglas Jr (Betty) and her sister Delma Faye Moorman (Roy), grandson Douglas Michael Brumbelow and son-in-law Phillip R Mansell.
Ruth was a Navy Wife (20 years) who traveled throughout the United States with the love of her life. In later years she was a bookkeeper at RCA in Memphis, Mason and Dixon Truck Lines, finishing her career at Yellow Freight Truck Lines. She was an avid golf fan. Though she never played golf, she loved watching it - especially The Masters. She followed NFL Football with the Dallas Cowboys being one of her favorites. Ruth was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all she met. Our hearts are heavy but feel blessed and at peace that she is again well and with her loving family who were there with open loving arms to welcome her home.

Funeral services will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home – East (2440 Whitten Rd Memphis, TN), beginning at 10 am on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 am. Graveside will immediately follow the funeral service at Forest Hill Cemetery – South (2545 E Holmes Rd Memphis, TN).
