Ruth Marie Phillips, 83, of Memphis, TN passed away May 13, 2016 surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel Ray Phillips, Sr. and daughter, Donna Kay Phillips. She is survived by her sons Jewel Ray Phillips, Jr. (Reba) and John Franklin Phillips (Sandy) both of Olive Branch, MS; daughter Rena P. Chandler (Chris) of Memphis, TN; brothers Brady Furniss, Jr. (Jean) of Munford, TN, Arthur Furniss of Walls, MS, Kenneth Furniss (Dale) of Shreveport, LA; sister Peggy Massey of Shenandoah, TX; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 18 and service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home with interment following.
