Ruth Ray of Bartlett, TN passed away at her home on Sunday, April 14th, 2019 at the age of 87.  Mrs. Ray was born April 9, 1932 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Isaac and Nancy Orr.   She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, George Ray; her brother, William Orr (Joyce) of Tulsa, OK; and her children, Glen Ray and Judy Ray.  Ruth is survived by her three children, Lewis Ray (Patsy), James T. Ray and Donna Oakes (William); three grandchildren, Natalie Payne, Ashley Bodine (Brandon) and Rusty Ray; three great grandchildren, Katelyn Payne, Sara Payne and Brody Bodine; and numerous nieces and nephews.   The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 18, 2019, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East, followed by her service at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, also at the Funeral Home.
