Ruth Del Rio Brumfield, of Navarre, Florida, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at the age of 88.

Mrs. Brumfield was a native of Oak Grove, Louisiana, but had been a resident of Navarre since 1994. She loved birds and pets. She was very active in sports.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Frances (Simon) Del Rio and Wilson Del Rio; and her brothers, Sullivan, Jewel, J.D. Floyd and Wilson Del Rio, Jr.

Mrs. Brumfield met her husband, Robert Ellis "Sonny" Brumfield, of 70 years, when she was 17 years old and married him soon after.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Ellis "Sonny" Brumfield; her three children, Diwana Burrus, Frances Ivy, and Robert Charles Brumfield; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren
