Ruth Carolyn Underwood Fincher, age 86, of Southaven, Ms., passed away Tuesday July 21st.
She was preceded in death, by her parents Robert and Grace Underwood, daughter Diane Harris and
son Greg Ledbetter.

She is survived by her son Calvin L. Ledbetter, Jr.(Sharon) of Collierville, TN, daughters Barbara
Brazil of Olive Branch, MS, Denise Fowler of Lufkin, TX, and 11 grandchildren, 25 greatgrandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren.

She was born in Malvern, Arkansas, the youngest of twelve children. Her father, Robert Underwood,
was an Assembly of God Minister and a carpenter. She loved to sing and as a child and teenager, she
sang solos at her Church and revival services in the area. After moving to Memphis, Tennessee, she
attended Graceland Baptist Church and Westwood Baptist Church, where she sang in the Adult Choir
for many years. She will be remembered dearly by all her family and loved ones.

A memorial service for Ruth will be held on Monday, July 27th. Visitation will by 9:00am – 10:00am
with services following at 10:00am in Forest Hill Midtown chapel. Graveside services will follow at
Forest Hill South.
