Sadie Mae Padgett, age 86, passed away peacefully Monday, December 9th, 2024, in her sleep. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be tremendously missed by all who knew her.

Sadie was born August 23, 1938, in New Albany, MS. She spent 33 years at Baptist Memorial Hospital before retiring. She was a selfless, kind, caring soul who always put others needs before her own. She had the ability to talk to anyone and everyone and them love her, for her. Her presence and warmth will truly be missed.

In her free time, Sadie loved to travel, be with her family, go out to eat (especially to Hueys to hear her favorite band play), and watch the Price is Right.

Sadie is survived by her two daughters, Debra Daves and Loretta Herring; four grandchildren, Karen Morrison, Jessica Rutherford (Barton Rutherford), Cody Herring (Reese Herring), and Carsyn Herring; three great-grandchildren, Preston Morrison, Austin Ragon, Hemi Rutherford, and her sister Jimmie Lea. Sadie touched many people's lives and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Forest Hill Home & Memorial Park (1661 Elvis Presley Blvd, Memphis, TN 38106). Followed by burial at Forest Hill Cemeteries (2545 E. Holmes Rd, Memphis, TN 38118).
