Walls - Sandy McElravey, 71, of Walls, MS was suddenly taken away from her children Sherry Kern, Cathy Foshee', Donny Howard, Teresa Roberts, Carole Harrell, Debby Sutherland, and Ronny Howard. Her grandchildren Kinsey Vazquez, Linsey Pegram, Kayla Rinks, Austin Howard, Taylor Howard, Chelsea Starnes, Chase Howard, Coley Howard, Megan Kern and Adam Kern. Her great-grandson Xander Miles. Her brothers Wayne McRight and Thomas Cady. Sandy was a pillar of her community. She dedicated her time to orphans, the elderly, the ill, the less fortunate, and the lonely. Her integrity, respect, and care for each person in her life went beyond all boundaries. She made the small feel bigger, the weak stronger, the sick healthier, and the lonely loved. She made each of us better people just by knowing her. She created joy as soon as she entered your life. Her giggles and laughs were contagious. She truly lived her life as an example of Christ. She died while serving her Savior. The last Bible verse in her journal is Philippians 3:21 - "Who, by the power that enables HIM to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like HIS glorious body." Sandy has transformed into her glorious body and will be at the gates of heaven to receive us just as during her earthly life she stood before us with arms wide open. Her family and friends pray our memories will sustain us during this temporary separation. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren are her legacy but her heart is a legend. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 6 at Forest Hill South with visitation starting at 1 p.m. Sandy requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be sent to an abused children charity.
