Sara S. Byars, 83, of Batesville, MS, died Monday, June 11, 2012. She was retired from General Electric after 28 years of service, and was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. Mrs. Byars was preceded in death by her husband, Rueben C. Byars, and is survived by her daughters, Patsy Vick, Susie Krupcznski, Mary Curtright and Wanda Gray; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Kempie Smith. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-12 p.m., Thursday, June 14, 2012, with graveside services to follow at 12 p.m., all at Forest Hill East Funeral Home and Cemetery.
