Sarah Rushing, 85 of Memphis, spouse of the late Marvin Rushing, retired teacher assistant of Memphis City Schools, died peacefully at home on Saturday, July 15, 2017. Sarah Rushing was a member of Morning View Baptist Church, officiating Dr. Fleming, Senior Pastor. Sarah requested that her home going celebration to be held at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 2534 Carnes Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee. Therefore, the funeral will be on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., and the interment completion on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at New Park Cemetery. Sarah leaves to cherish her memories her daughter: Izolia (Dr. Harvey Jackson); son: Bishop Zebleum Keith Rushing; two sisters: Essie Faulkers and Willie Ruth McNeil; one brother: L.C. (Betty) Jones; two grandchildren: Andre Jackson, Minnie Latrece (Gary) Bonaparte; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
