Sarah R. Wages, 85, of Fayette County, passed away August 14, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. She owned Sarah''s Ceramics. Mrs. Wages was a Past Worthy Matron of Summer Avenue Order of the Eastern Star and Past President of Memphis Ceramics Association. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Archie A. Wages. Mrs. Wages is survived by her children, Ann Owens, Helen Dykes, Lynn Wages; sister, Estelle Russom; four grandchildren, Donnie Dykes, Samantha Carroll, Terry Griffin, Angie Wood; nine great-grandchildren, David and Justin Griffin, Melissa Green, Lauren and Kacie Dykes, Chase, Logan, Amy and Glyndon Carroll; and two great-great-grandchildren, Austin and Chloe Green. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, August 17 and service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home, with burial following. In lieu of flowers, the family request any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital or to the American Cancer Society.
