Sharon Kay Daley, 73, of Memphis, TN passed away peacefully on October 7, 2021 after a months long battle with a sudden critical illness. Sharon was born December 23, 1947 in Texarkana, Texas.

Sharon is preceded in death by her mother Dolly J. Worthington, younger sister Gail T. Manley, and nephew John M. Johnston, Jr. Sharon was called home in time to celebrate the heavenly birthday with her deceased sister, Gail, who happened to be born on October 7th . Sharon is survived by her niece Tammy Wilson and spouse Jimmy Wilson, great-niece Erin Burton, great-nephew Evan Wilson, brother-in-law William H. Manley, her siblings Bruce "Butch" Worthington, Betty J. Addison, and nephew Charles Worthington.

Even though she never married and had children of her own, Sharon dedicated her life to caring for her extended family. She lovingly cared for her niece and nephews, while her married sisters worked hard building their careers. Sharon was also the the curator of the family story archives and would accurately repeat long lost details of childhood incidents. Her greatest joy, besides fussing at her brother Butch, was watching her great niece and nephew grow up and sharing their accomplishments with anyone that would listen. Sharon was always the first person to call on your birthday and remembered all of your favorite things at Christmastime. Her frank advice and tender thoughtfulness will be missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service for Sharon, which will be held at Forest Hill East Funeral Home on October 15, 2021. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM- 10:00 AM. Funeral service at 10:00 AM. A graveside service will be held immediately following at Forest Hill East Memorial Park.
