Sherry Brunner Tucker, 81, died after a brief illness on December 21, 2025 in her hometown of Memphis. She is survived by her husband Robert D. Tucker, her daughter Jennifer M. Tucker, her sisters Debra Brunner Carney (Steve) and Julie Brunner Robinson, her brother Richard A. Brunner (Ellen), nephews Matthew Brunner (Gene), Shawn Brunner (Keri), Daniel Brunner (Angela), Brandon Robinson, and Michael Robinson, nieces Stephanie Carney and Cheryl Slocum, and great-nephew D.C. Brunner, and great-nieces Emma Brunner, Livi Brunner, Charlie Grace Brunner, Kayden Slocum, and Zoie Slocum.

Married for 59 years, she and Rob met at Central High School (Memphis) graduating with the Class of 1962. Sherry also graduated from the University of Memphis where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority.

She was an avid gardener at their historic Midtown home and was talented at hands-on projects.  One of her greatest loves was decorating her tree for Christmas.

Sherry loved spending time with all her family and was always game for an adventure. Sweet, funny, unique, and determined she was always the well put together Southern lady.

Small of stature but mighty in strength and character she will be greatly missed by many.

The Memorial Service will be February 8th at Idlewild Presbyterian Church, 1750 Union Ave, Memphis at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Heart Association, or donor's preference.
