Shirley Jean Caples, 72 of Southaven, Mississippi passed away on September 12, 2019 at 7 pm at Desoto Health Care after a long struggle with her health. Her daughter and daughter-in-law were by her side when she passed.

She was a longtime resident of Memphis, Tennessee before moving to Southaven, Mississippi. She was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Shirley was a wonderful mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend. She could light up a room with just her smile. Her favorite color was purple and she loved smiley faces.

She is survived by a daughter Jackie (Renee) Henley and her parter Carla Smith of Southaven, Mississippi and a son Randy Yancey of Portland, OR.; 1 grandson, Devron of Memphis, 3 step-grandchildren, Zoey, Abbie and Zak of Southaven, Mississippi.

She is also survived by her sister Deborah Rogers and her husband Harold Rogers of Bartlett, Tennessee and 1 niece and 1 nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents , Albert L. Stockton and Lavada R. Stockton and by her husband Carles L. Caples

Visitation will be held on Friday September 20, 2019 from 1 pm until 1:45 with graveside services to follow at 2 pm, all at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park East 2440 Whitten Rd. ,Memphis, Tennessee 38133.
