Shirley Grantham Gray, 90, of Memphis, passed away peacefully in her sleep July 4, 2013. Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul E. Gray and her loving daughter, Bunny Gray Bertling. Mrs. Gray was very active in the Whitehaven community, graduating from Whitehaven in 1940 and was a founding member of the Agenda Club and one of the founders of Whitehaven County Club. Mrs. Gray's death leaves her grieving son, Georg, along with her son-in-law, Charles Wayne Bertling. She also leaves grandchildren: Emily Gray Chambers, Charles Paul Gray, Grantham Ryne Gray, Jasmine Dawn Gray, Justin Allen Gray and Heather Bertling Wilson, granddaughter and daughter of Bunny and Chuck Bertling and their two grandchildren: Trey and Anya Wilson. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 9 at Forest Hill South with the service at 2 p.m. followed by internment where she and Paul finally will be rejoined for eternity.
