Southaven - Shirley Elizabeth Melton, 70, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away Friday, October 31, 2014. She was a homemaker, member of Hernando United Methodist Church, involved in Reach to Recovery, Southaven Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year, and Coordinator for the Southaven Springfest and State Barbeque Championship. Mrs. Melton is survived by her husband of 51 years, Sidney Melton; sons, Sidney Melton, Jr. of Bruce, MS and Steve Melton (Lori) of Hernando, MS; and one grandson, Sam Melton. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2014 at Forest Hill South Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home with interment to follow in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
