Steve W. Black, 58, of Memphis, TN died peacefully at his home Thursday night, June 1, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mavis and Eudis Black of Memphis; his brother Jerold Black of Memphis; and his brother, James L. Black of Brandon, MS. Steve is survived by his wife, Peggy Black; his son, Kyle Black (Jena); his granddaughter, Emma Black; his nieces, Tracy Black of Memphis and Christie Freeman of Brandon, MS; and his nephews, Chris Black and Colby Black of Brandon, MS. He was also blessed with a number of dear friends who were there for him constantly with their love, support, and encouragement through his illness. These friends made such a huge impact on his quality of life, and Steve's family is forever grateful to them. Services will be held Tuesday, June 6 at Forest Hill South Funeral Home at 2545 East Holmes Road. Visitation is at 1:00 p.m., with funeral services at 2:00 p.m. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations are made to the charity of your choice.
