IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sue Whitworth
Vance
March 29, 1943 – February 23, 2026
Sue Whitworth Vance, age 82 of Munford, Tennessee, passed away on February 23, 2026.
She was born on March 29,1943 in Lucy, Tennessee to the late Abner and Emma Whitworth.
Sue was a caring and devoted woman whose life was deeply rooted in faith, family, and service. A faithful member of her church, she found strength and comfort in her relationship with the Lord and lived out that faith daily through her kindness, generosity, and love for others.
She was especially known for her cooking and for the way she gathered people around her table. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and welcome — where family and friends felt embraced and cared for. With strength and determination, she faced life's challenges with quiet resolve, carrying herself with grace and bringing joy to all who knew her.
Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry Vance; sister, Marry Kent of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a brother, EC Chapman of Jackson, Mississippi.
She is survived by her son, Lee Vance, who was not only her child but the greatest blessing of her life. To him, she was more than a mother — she was an inspiration and a steady example of faith, perseverance, and unconditional love. Her guidance and devotion shaped his life in ways that will endure forever.
She leaves behind grandchildren, Clare Reardon of Brentwood, Tennessee, and Audrey Reardon of Brentwood, Tennessee.
Her legacy of faith, love, and resilience will live in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Sue was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be missed dearly and will be in our hearts forever.
