Suzanne Caldwell Elder, 86, formerly of Memphis, TN, passed away Thursday, September10, 2015 at Parkview Nursing Home in Paducah, Kentucky after a lengthy illness. Visitation will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home on Monday, September 14 from 5-7 p.m. with final services on Tuesday, September 15 at 10 a.m. She is a graduate of Osceola High School, in Osceola, Arkansas. She was a finalist in the Ms. Osceola pageant. She was a retired administrative assistant at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis. She was a member of Mizpah Chapter #62 Eastern Star and past member of Daughters of the Nile and Memphis Amaranth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James Boyd Elder, Sr., and son David Walter Elder. She is survived by her son James Boyd Elder, Jr. of Hot Springs Village, AR and two daughters Lorna Elder-Foster of Blueridge, GA and Karla Elder-Sorrells of Paducah, KY, and four grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
