Sylvia “Beth” Johnson passed Friday, July 17th, 2026 surrounded by her family. She leaves a legacy of compassion, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those she cared for.

Beth devoted 30+ years of her life as a Registered Nurse at Methodist Le Bonheur Hospital, where she touched countless lives through her exceptional care, gentle spirit, and commitment to her patients and colleagues. Nursing was more than a profession to Beth, it was her calling, and she served with grace, strength, and selflessness throughout her career.

Beth cherished her family. She is survived by her devoted spouse, Phillip “Danny” Johnson; her daughters, Andrea Johnson (Dennis) and Christin Carroll (Charles); her grandchildren, Tyler Smoot (Nikki) and Kayley Smoot (Ammon); and her treasured great-grandchildren, Emer Gillins and Wren Smoot; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews. She found immense joy in watching her family grow and took great pride in each generation.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Margie Cox (Hammond) and Bobby Bryan; her beloved sister, Ginger Marbury; and her cherished grandchild, Nathan Carroll.

Beth will be remembered for her caring heart, quiet strength, generous spirit, and the love she shared so freely with her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her life was a testament to compassion and service, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
