Sylvia Ann (Byars) Posey, 85, went home to be with the Lord on July 25th.

Sylvia was born November 2nd, 1937 to Joab Wilson Byars and AliceMay Bethel (Lloyd) Byars in Osceola, Arkansas. After graduating from Dell High School, Sylvia began a lengthy career as a Radiographer.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, James Edward Posey, whom she married in 1960. Sylvia is survived by two sons, Michael (John), and Todd (Ann), and one granddaughter, Kinsey.

Sylvia was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Joe and Tommy, and is survived by one sister, Sandra, and two brothers, Charles and Stanley, and was dearly loved by many family members.

At the time of her passing, Sylvia was a proud member of LaBelle Haven Baptist Church in Olive Branch.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Sylvia's name to the American Lung Association.
