Ted Everett Alston of Memphis, TN, was born in Hattiesburg, MS on October 14, 1934 and passed away in Memphis, TN on February 7, 2016. Mr. Alston retired as the Maintenance Supervisor for Shelby County after 25 years. He also loved to travel. Mr. Alston was preceded in death by his wife of over 41 years, Rose Marie Berretta Alston. He leaves behind two daughters, Darlene Alston Duff (John) and Debra Alston Peters (Joe); three grandchildren, Brandon Duff (Jessica), Mason Peters (Rachel) and Kelley Peters Lumley (Todd Edward); one great grandchild, Avery Rose Duff; sister, Faye Fray; brother, Pat Alston (Doris); and by his longtime beloved friend, Freda Clark. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 9 from 5-7 PM with funeral services to be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 10, all at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, TN 38133. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Lung Cancer Association or to Baptist Trinity Hospice at 6141 Walnut Grove Rd, Memphis, TN 38120
